What to chase on a fresh account, which lower-rarity units punch above their weight, and how to plan your diamonds.
What should you reroll for?
Skip rerolling the beginner banner. Those units are obtainable through Arena, Guild, and Expedition rewards, and the banner never disappears, so there is no rush.

Meta for a long time and arguably the strongest unit in the game thanks to her rage-reduction ability. You get a free copy on Day 8, but duplicates still matter because star upgrades are huge.
Excellent single-target damage dealer with strong overall performance.
Powerful AoE attacker that excels against high-cost enemy units.
Extremely effective healer.
Provides powerful 3-hit invincibility utility.
Tank capable of protecting allies with wide shield coverage.
DPS plus revive, then more DPS. A reliable, fan-favourite pick.

What should you spend diamonds on?
Saving for 10-pull summons is usually the best approach. Because banners are time-gated, you can plan your spending far in advance.
Popular saving targets:
Selected banners need special summon tickets: 1 free daily from missions, with extras available for 400 diamonds each.
For Kasumi, save enough for the guaranteed 70-pull pity. It is also worth contributing diamonds to your guild, since contribution summons can eventually guarantee SSR Nicola.
