The Single Biggest Event Trap For F2P

The Grand Treasure Hunt is the rotating event where you spend Aurodrasil Energy at five reward tiers. The trap: most players spend every week thinking the cadence matches the event reset. It does not. Spending weekly leaves Level 5 rewards on the table because Aurodrasil Energy refreshes faster than the high-tier rewards are worth picking. Two correct cadences exist, both wait multiple weeks per spend.

TL;DR

  • If you cannot afford to claim the Level 5 prize this week, do not spend ANY Aurodrasil Energy that week. Hard floor: ~3,240 Energy covers stages 1-5. Below that and every L1-L4 click costs you a future L5.
  • Do not spend every week as F2P. Save Aurodrasil Energy one week, spend on Level 5 the next.
  • On Level 5, the priority order is Left > Far right > Middle. Left is the unique relic (always grab). Far right is the secondary pick worth taking if you have leftover currency. Middle is the lowest priority.
  • Two F2P cadences: every 2 weeks (~4,440 currency, 2 Level 5 items) or every 3 weeks (~5,640 currency, all Level 5 items).
  • L1-L4 are preference-driven (Seasonal vs Basic resources). Match the level pick to your account need: first Mythic Fantomon → Bond Trinkets; missing special-attribute Legendary Relics → Legendary Auroral Badges; low-RNG-tolerance → Skills directly.
  • This cycle: Phase 2 and Phase 6 drop Lucky Statue (10% to 60% Dungeon double-drop). Phase 4 drops Primal Gem (10% to 60% Gem acquisition).
  • Light spenders: two 500-energy gift packs per cycle (~$30/week of event-pack spend) hits Level 5 every cycle, no waiting.

Maple's Three Absolute Principles

Maple compressed the event into three rules. The rest of this guide is the math + per-rotation specifics that prove them out.

The three rules
1. Floor 5 priority order Always prioritize Floor 5. On Floor 5 the slot priority is Left > Far right > Middle — Left is the unique relic and the always-take, Far right is the secondary pick worth grabbing with leftover currency, Middle is the lowest priority. Never buy from Floors 1-4 if you cannot reach Floor 5 this cycle (cost floor is ~3,240 Energy to claim through stages 1-5). On a hoarding cycle, buy nothing from any floor; you'll need the full reserve next cycle.
2. Energy banks Aurodrasil Energy banks across cycles by design. F2P can stably hit Floor 5 every other cycle; players who buy both 500-energy gift packs every cycle can hit Floor 5 every single cycle. The math is set up so the cadence works; trust it.
3. Unique relics F2P who haven't reached Loong Haven (Season 2) yet should skip the 1st and 3rd Grand Treasure Hunts but absolutely grab the unique relics from the 2nd and 5th. Phase 6 Lucky Statue ascensions are recommended but not mandatory; that's a personal-investment call. Once you hit Loong Haven, follow Rule 2 to redeem the unique relic every cycle.

The Grand Treasure Hunt is one of the highest-leverage events in the game for F2P accounts because the Level 5 reward tier sits behind a currency wall that punishes weekly spending. Pace yourself correctly and you walk away with multiple Level 5 items per cycle. Pace yourself wrong and you bleed Aurodrasil Energy on L1-L2 rewards that never compound.

Choosing Rewards For The First Four Levels

Treasures at L1-L4 fall into two categories. There is no right or wrong choice between them — only preference based on what your account needs.

Reward categories
Seasonal Resources Material Realm resources. Provide higher immediate Power. Faster Seasonal progression. Pick these if you're pushing rank or trying to clear current-kingdom CP thresholds.
Basic Resources Provide lower immediate Power but strengthen long-term foundations. Pick these if you're playing for season-over-season carryover or building toward a specific Mythic / Relic target.

Practical guidelines. Match the level pick to the account goal you actually have right now:

  • Need your first Mythic Fantomon → take Bond Trinkets at L4. The 180-Bond-Trinket evolution budget is hard to hit from companion-side activities alone; the Hunt is a real boost path.
  • Missing special-attribute Legendary Relics → take Legendary Auroral Badges at L4. The shortcut to filling the resonance gaps in your current kingdom's relic pool.
  • Skills come after Relics. If you're choosing between picking up a missing relic vs. skill shards, take the relic first — relics compound resonance, skills don't.
  • If you dislike low-RNG drop rates → pick Skills directly. Deterministic progress on whichever class skill you're building, no relic-pool luck involved.

This Cycle's Rotation (Cinder Ridge / Aqualis)

The new cycle starts at tomorrow's reset and runs through six phases across the Cinder Ridge and Aqualis weeks. Two phases drop Lucky Statue and one drops Primal Gem; those are the three picks the save-then-spend cadence below is built around.

Phase rotation
Phase 1 Cinder Ridge. Selectable Cinder Ridge Mythic Relic (Kingdom Relic).
Phase 2 Cinder Ridge. Lucky Statue (Special Relic). Passive chance to double Dungeon chest drops; scales 10% to 60% as you stack ascensions on the Relic.
Phase 3 Aqualis. Selectable 3rd-class skill shards × 180 (Class Skill).
Phase 4 Aqualis. Primal Gem (Special Relic). Boosts Gem acquisition across all sources except packs and the trading house; scales 10% to 60%.
Phase 5 Aqualis. Selectable Aqualis Mythic Relic (Kingdom Relic).
Phase 6 Aqualis. Lucky Statue (Special Relic). Same effect as Phase 2. The Phase 6 ascension is the second copy in the same cycle; Maple flags it as recommended but not mandatory if you're tight on Aurodrasil.

Lucky Statue rotates back into the event roughly every 1.5 months. Phase 2 is the mandatory pickup; Phase 6 is the optional second copy in the same cycle for players willing to commit a second spend window. Primal Gem in Phase 4 slots cleanly into the save-one-week / spend-the-next cadence so the high-priority pickups happen on separate spending windows without conflict.

Beyond this cycle. The unique relic on Floor 5 changes every Hunt. To plan ahead for the cycles after this one, see QY Maple's reward-rotation spreadsheet. It maps every Hunt's unique relic + stat effects so you can decide which Hunts to skip versus save through.

Reward Priorities By Level

Five reward tiers. Each cycle the L5 reward rotates. The L1-L4 tiers stay relatively stable, so the priorities below apply across most cycles.

Level-by-level priorities
Level 1 Basic Treats first. Companion feed. Compounds with the companion bond economy. Cheap entry; always claim.
Level 2 Companion Gifts. Pushes companion bonds toward the next tier. Higher EXP/value ratio than Treats per Aurodrasil unit spent.
Level 3 Generic resource fill. Pick whichever resource is currently bottlenecking your cart. Wood and Stone are the safe defaults (see the cart upgrade priority).
Level 4 Legendary Auroral Badges is the default highest-value L4 item across cycles (fills special-attribute relic gaps). Bond Trinkets become the better pick if you're chasing your first Mythic Fantomon — the 180-Trinket evolution budget is hard to hit from companion activities alone. Skip Stellatie (also drops from codes + Treasury).
Level 5 Rotates. Slot priority: Left > Far right > Middle. Left is the unique relic (always grab); Far right is the secondary pick; Middle is lowest. Standout rotations: Lucky Statue — passive Relic that scales 10% to 60% chance to double Dungeon chest drops as you stack copies. Primal Gem10% to 60% Gem acquisition boost across all sources except packs and trading house. Always grab both when they rotate in. Lucky Statue returns every ~1.5 months, so hit every Phase window it appears in.

F2P Spending Cadence: Two Options

Aurodrasil Energy refreshes roughly at the cap each week. Spending weekly means you cannot afford the L5 reward window. Two patterns work.

Cadence comparison
Every 2 weeks Approximately 4,440 currency per spend. Gets you 2 Level 5 items per cycle. Steady L5 acquisition, fewer total L1-L2 claims.
Every 3 weeks Approximately 5,640 currency per spend. Gets you all Level 5 items per cycle. Maximum L5 throughput but slower L1-L2 income.

Which to pick. If the rotating L5 reward in the current cycle is Lucky Statue or another long-term compounder, use the 3-week cadence. If the L5 rotation is weaker, the 2-week cadence is the safer pick because you still bank one L5 per spend while staying flexible.

Light spenders. Maple's specific call: buy both 500-energy gift packs every cycle (roughly $30/week of event-pack spend) and you hit Level 5 every cycle with no save-then-spend gap. That accelerates Lucky Statue ascensions and Primal Gem pickups. If you are buying the Monthly Card on top, Aurodrasil Energy refills faster from card-bonus daily caps, which means you can hit L5 every cycle even without the second 500-pack. Monitor your reserve before each spend.

The Loong Haven gate. The cadence above assumes you're still in Verdantglade or Cinder Ridge. Once you reach Loong Haven (Season 2), the Aurodrasil income curve steepens enough that F2P can stably redeem the unique relic every cycle on the same 500-pack-free cadence. Before Loong Haven, F2P should expect to skip alternating Hunts; after, every cycle is in reach.

Common Mistakes

  • Spending any Aurodrasil Energy on a week you can't afford L5. If your reserve won't hit ~3,240 Energy by the end of the week, hard-skip the whole event. Every L1-L4 click on an off-week pushes a future L5 out of reach.
  • Spending every week as F2P. You cannot afford L5 on weekly cadence. Aurodrasil Energy spent on weekly L1-L2 claims is value left on the table.
  • Buying anything during a hoarding cycle. A hoard cycle means the reserve has to land exactly at full for next cycle's L5. Even a single L1 purchase eats into that reserve and slips you to a 3-week cadence instead of 2.
  • Picking the Middle slot on Floor 5. Floor 5 slot priority is Left > Far right > Middle. The middle slot is the lowest-value pick; only buy it after you've cleared Left and Far right.
  • Buying Stellatie at L4. Stellatie drops from redemption codes, the Treasury, and KonoSuba collab milestones. Spending Grand Treasure Hunt energy on it doubles up on a free resource.
  • Picking a non-Lucky-Statue / non-Primal-Gem L5 when those are in rotation. Both Special Relics scale 10% to 60% with ascensions and compound across the whole season. Other L5 rewards usually do not.
  • Skipping the cycle entirely when you can afford L5. Even if the L5 rotation looks weak, the 2-week cadence still walks away with L4 Legendary Auroral Badges or Bond Trinkets plus L1-L3 fill. Don't zero out if you can clear the 3,240 Energy floor.

Where This Fits In The Spending Order

The Grand Treasure Hunt is downstream of the daily core loop. Sequence it as follows:

  1. Free Standard banner daily 10-roll. Always first.
  2. Daily Dungeon free runs. Two runs per day on gear + materials. See Daily Dungeons guide.
  3. Stamina on Rolla first. Cart bottleneck. See Beginner Guide.
  4. Destiny Exploration on missing relics. Spend Destiny Fruit at the listed location. Target relics that complete a set bonus on a build you actually run. See the Destiny Fruit guide.
  5. Grand Treasure Hunt on the 2-week or 3-week cadence above. Not weekly.

The Grand Treasure Hunt is the event most rewarding of correct pacing. If you only learn one event-cadence rule, learn this one.
